The ever growing Steele family and their friends are surprised by the news that the family is going to grow by three. And two of the triplets are girls, finally! The Steele's and their friends find themselves in a race against time as they attempt to find the triplets and bring them home. Quantar has ordered his minions to stop the reunification before the siblings have the chance to join together in order to find their parents and face him on Tortenqua. The three planes of existence where the triplets reside have additional intrigues that must be settled before they can be rescued. The first plane finds Minneapolis to be a tropical paradise subject to periodic attacks by giant insects and reptiles. The second plane finds Minneapolis to be a rustic town with distant mountains where most of the population is imprisoned, powers of the gifted have been blocked and two boys are charged with growing enough food for the entire region. The third version of Minneapolis is akin to the Renaissance era on Eothes where a deadly plague is ravaging the population. Tensions and manipulations culminate in a gifted duel in a long forgotten cavern that harbors incomprehensible powers and horrors.
