When Payton Rothmeir's father died, her 13 year-old life went into a downward spiral. She was forced to move in with her uncle who became obsessed with her and then arrested and shipped off to rehab two years later. Payton went from foster home to foster home over the course of the next two years, since no one wanted her due to the frequent nightmares.
